A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Olayera Elugbaju, has lashed out at the former Governor of the Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, for taking a swipe at some chieftains of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), led by a former Deputy Governor of the State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, who joined the party last week, saying Aregbesola should stop playing God.
Reacting specifically to Aregbesola’s boasts that no one could displace him from the APC in the State, the party chieftain, while noting that they were in possession of the video clip of all the former Governor said in Ilesa at the weekend, stressed that the new entrants have come to strengthen the APC.
“When he invited Omisore to assist during the re-run that eventually ushered in the APC government in the State, he knew his capacity to deliver. That was why he reached out to him.

“Because of the personality and integrity of Governor Oyetola, Omisore has been faithful and committed to the coalition since after the 2018 election. So, why why should anyone be jittery now that he has come in fully?
“Truth is, if Aregbesola continues the way he is going, he will naturally be displaced because Osun people are wiser.
“He should therefore stop playing God. He should subject himself to the leadership of the party and stop behaving like a village head, ” he added.
